If you search the forums using the FIND function, you'll see this is a fairly common occurence. It usually has something to do with updating drivers. Please contact Technical Support for assistance.

hi did you ever find out how to fix the problem with the engine not being able to intialize the CD-R engine I have it now and I wrote tech support but I still don't have an answer could you let me know how you fixed it thank you Leslie

Leslie, you really should be assisted by Tech Support -- how long has it been since you contacted them? Please try it again, they should be working with you on trouble-shooting this issue.

I cleared my initialization problem with a clean wipe of my HD and a clean install of my OS and Mixmeister. Problem solved. Somewhere down the line I had another program overwrite my drivers and map them so that MM and windows and anything else I needed to burn an audio/data CD/DVD would fail to do what they needed to.

This by no means is the only way to solve this problem. It was very drastic by far, however, it has been nearly five years since I had done so. It was definitely time for an overhaul.

Keep pressuring TS until you get a response. I know that they are still Über swamped right now, and may need a minute to respond.
