howdy all... long time for me... I've been working with MME6 for awhile and i've just noticed this issue... I get all my tracks lined up and transitioned the way i want them (some tracks do not have a transition)... I save the playlist and when i come back to it later, those "no transitions"s are not there, in fact, they are back to where they originally were... i think there may be a trick to solving this but i haven't discovered it yet...

any ideas?

Especially, if you can, a screen shot of how you leave it just as you are closing the program vs. a second screen shot of how it looks when you re-open the program ...

Are these all Standard tracks or does it involve overlays as well?

There was a time when someone mentioned that when they closed the program they assumed MM was saving the most recent set of changes because there was no dialog window asking "Do you want to save your changes?" MM wasn't automatically saving changes as part of closing, and this user had lost a large amount of work which he had not been saving as he went along ... Is this by any chance your situation?

I don't have express, but in studio you can save a mix as a m3u (instead of mmp) which will not save the 'mixing'. Could this be the case?

My express 6 on a Vista laptop is doing the same. Regardless of the file format (mmp, m3u) my no transition mixes default back to crossfade.

I have tried the full and demo version of Express on multiple machines with the same result - the No Transition option will not save in a playlist. Probably a bug in the software (I've posted in the biglist), but without a workaround, this is useless to me..:-{
