What version of MMJB do you mean? I have 8.0 (purchased version, not free) and if you check MMJB online support under the keyword "convert" you will find this reference to wma support:

quote:

I cannot convert WMA - wma - files anymore

Due to contractual agreements, converting WMA file format to (and from) other file formats has been disabled. While this affects the ability of Musicmatch Jukebox to convert to (and from) this file format, it does not affect your ability to record, listen to, or burn WMA files to data CDs (not audio CDs).

Musicmatch, Inc. is working with Microsoft to provide a flexible solution that both protects copyrighted works in the WMA format while still providing you with the best digital audio listening experience.

There's no date on this statement. I am currently downloading a wma plug-in from the MMJB Add Features page to see if it will allow wma conversion now....

how about using MM Fusion...if it's just a single file and you do have MM Fusion...

I remember when MMJB *could* convert ... apparently their deal with MS fell through at some point. Oh, and the plug-in I downloaded did not give MMJB the ability to convert wma files, so that's a dead end.

I have googled and found numerous applications that include the ability to convert wma to mp3 or ogg or mp3PRO or whatever you want ... I'm sure cword will find numerous options out there if they google it....

Even without Fusion, you always have the option in MM to export to wav and then you can use MMJB to convert the wav file to mp3....

Any audio editing and converting software can be of use.Suggests FlexiMusic Wave Editor.Directly can't read WMA file in FlexiMusic Wave Editor, so play and record the Wma file in the software and then using the "Save As" command, convert and save the Wma file as Mp3 format. To save the file as Mp3, need to install a separate command line Mp3 encoder/ decoder. Lame win 32 will be of use.

I think you can use Quick Time Pro as well as an export of the audio file to a different type. You may need the Windows Media Player special free plug in if you have Mac. I can change almost any video or music file.

Goldwave is a great audio editing program which also does batch processing. You can convert multiple files at once between many formats including WMA & MP3. Its not free but it only costs $45 and IMO is just as good as Sound Forge or any other professional audio editor.

Relax. What is mind? No matter. What is matter? Never mind!
