Hello all. Just completed a mix made of "dance remixes" of popular hip hop and r&b songs. How do I go about sharing it on this forum? Do I upload it somewhere? Thanks.

There are tools in MM that make it easy to obliterate any words inappropriate for air-time ... select the portion that offends (somebody, somewhere) and right-click -- from the context menu that appears, choose REVERSE ... et voila!

You can also use overlays to obscure passages that won't pass inspection ...

But "as is"? No, can't do that....

Hey, madame. I'm still awaiting a reply from Twisted Rook regarding a mix that I want to upload. I sent it on Nov 29. How long does it normally take to get a reply?

Let me just run down to the corner tavern and have a look -- if I see him there, I'll give him a thump on the head and tell him to get back to work ....

Or .... what station do you want to upload to? Maybe another host can help out?

Rook, that submit tool crashes every time I try to select the mmp or the m3u file. This has happened on both a Vista machine as well as on an XP machine. Please advise.

Madame, would you happen to know why the submit tool crashes when trying to select an mmp or m3u file? I haven't received a response from Twisted Rook.

I personally can't recall reading about the Submit tool "crashing"...so I can't even begin to fathom what would cause that. Also, I don't know why you would try to upload an m3u file, when this was designed to work with MMP files.

Have you tried uninstalling the submit tool, re-downloading it and then re-installing??? At the moment, that is the only suggestion I have.

I think I remember that the submit tool crashes when it's not installed in the correct folder - you need to install it in the same folder you installed Mixmeister Fusion/Studio to!

If I'm not mistaken there's a tricky part in that: when you select a folder to install the submit tool to the installation software adds a sub folder name which you have to delete!!!

Tell us if that does the trick...

First of all, there are two different submit tools, one for pre-Fusion versions of MM and one for Fusion and Studio 7. Which one do you need; which one did you get? This is something you and TRR need to sort out.

Secondly, if you are using the Fusion-level version of the submit tool, the default installation may need to be tweaked a little -- are you running Fusion or Studio?

Have you installed the upload tool once and then needed to install again for any reason? If so, did you uninstall completely first before reinstalling?

Beyond these basics, there may be other issues involved that I am not able to assist you with. The Tech Support staff also does not provide support for the upload tool. But other users have worked their way through difficulties (Sly Devil, I think, most recently) and their solutions may benefit you ... search the forum for other posts ....

Madame- He was supplied with the Fusion Submit tool. Now that Moto mentions it, I think that where the tool was installed may be the culprit for his problems. I will see if I can find the instructions that somebody wrote up to clear that problem (if you can locate it first, by all means post it).

DeeJay.El, my apologies for the delay...we are working on possible solutions for your problem...thank you for your continued patience.

hahahha you, Tom and I all responded at once, it seems.

Yes, I think the install location default needs to be looked at.... I don't actually know where that post is (it may be in the Hosts forum or some similar place.)
