Rodney,

OK, well, in addition to the submit tool upload with Courtyard Sessions being hosed, this one is too. The entire beginning of the set is complete silence, and then a 3 second blurb of sound comes in at approx. 1:30, then back to silence until around 2:20.

Check the post I left on Courtyard. You'll need to upload this one again too.

So sorry about this...

Rodney,

What to say...what to say... .

Well, first of all, this set was definitely worth the wait and the trouble. It is an absolutely stunning creative work--innovative, excellently crafted, well-balanced and harmonious in style and direction. Yet, in all of its harmonious balance, it is full of surprises from beginning to end, from the opening, ethereal atmospheric introduction to the final ending with, of all things one wouldn't expect, a movie trailer soundtrack!. One of the things I love about House music under the hands of skilled musicians as DJs, is when, on those rare occasions, they take you away to a place that you didn't know existed, making you so very glad you were given the opportunity to visit and explore.

The set is an exemplary example of Modern Progressive House at its finest with a heavy emphasis on the ethereal and atmospheric. The bass lines are innovative and unique, and the blend with Funk and Modern Funk House provides the set with just the right amount of tang, infusing it with an edginess that I sometimes find is missing in Modern Progressive.

In terms of craft, the set is seamless from beginning to end, and flows out more like an original composition with near perfect form. The tonal palette and balances sparkle throughout, and just when you think all of these areas have been explored, something appears once again that is fresh.

...and that's just how it hits the ear on a first-time listen. This is a set that should be listened to over and over again, like a favored symphony or concerto. It is so very excellent that you can't possibly absorb it all on the first encounter.

Frankly, I can't wait to hear what you bring to the table next.

Very exciting. A must listen.

Not going to miss this one.....

If you can get tep to throw out some insight like that and it hasn't even hit the air, I'm all over it.

Smile

Hey Rodney,

This is a fantastic set, alright Big Grin

As tepmix says, so atmospheric and almost haunting in places. In other sections some absolutely storming 1000yd-stare grooves Cool

Nothing to add from previous comments, except for totally diggin' the last 3 mins. of the set with the movie trailer voiceover. Really unnerving, leaving me with that "what's gonna happen next?" feeling.

Great stuff Smile
