Primeval Journey is an attempt by Boogie Man (kZn) and myself to tell a story and convey the feelings of a journey into the unknown. Picture yourself on a safari riding down a river in some unexplored rainforest. It’s late afternoon the sun is beginning to set. The mood is calm, the banks of the river are visible, but it’s getting dark and the trees are starting to close in. There is only one way out… You must let the Drums, Congas and Bass speak to your soul!

After the Tribe speaks to you everything becomes clear and you find yourself in the open basking in sun again!

Tracks 1-3 DJ Sweat - I was given the task of creating the mood and making the sunset so to speak ( Track 3 Northrop ).

Tracks 4-8 The Boogie Man as kZn – Bring the Drums, Congas, Chants, Bass etc. Take it to the villages. ( Ask him let him explain for a change Big Grin )

Tracks 9-11 DJ Sweat – The sunrises with track 9( Night Drive ) and the banks are visible. Track 11 ( Rainbow Bridge ) you’re home watching the Weather Channel Big Grin

Enjoy!

Great set .... thanks guys Big Grin

A real journey, just like your intro. said.
The opening tracks really set the mood and lead oh so smoothly & seductively into the dense, tribal undegrowth at which point it's too late .... you've sucked me into the conga/bonga/bass mesmeric heart of the set
Oh Yeah!
The flow back out of this dark & wonderful place is equally well done, gently leading out with some real sweet tunes.

Superb stuff ..... no technical mixing issues, letting the music just floooowwwwwww Cool

Thanks so much for dropping this set on j2i, guys Big Grin

This set was really fun. Once the tribal feel hit I didn't want to quit. We have to find some acapella chants next time. Glad you enjoyed the set and I'm glad it found a home on J2I
