Here’s my first solo house mix in a long, long time. I had this mix sitting on the back burner for many years, never quite getting what I wanted out of it. I think it started out around 2 hours long and now it’s been widdled away to just over 46mins.

Since this mix has been around the block a few times, you won’t hear that killer new track that all the kids are bopping around to now, but I guarantee I have trax you’ve never heard before. How can I make such a guarantee you ask? Well some of these trax don’t exist, I made them Wink (well, kinda, take a look at the pics to follow).

Hopefully you enjoy the mix, it’s made to get your feet moving, so please, move your feet.

A special thanks to Lou Reed for helping out with the intro track/remix (fwiw, it’s not an acapella track), and LL Cool J for my track ‘Just Gettin’ Warm’.

As always, I would appreciate your 2 cents,

I wanted to post a few pics of my mix for a couple of reasons,

1. Hopefully it will give others ideas.

2. Even if my mix sucks, I hope you can appreciate the effort that went into it

Here's the intro, the original Lou Reed recording, looped, edited, flipped, twisted, stretched, and reversed, all while playing over a killer Peace Division loop

Below is a pic of the Audio Bully's track. I was listening the the sat. radio one day and heard Ph. D's "I won't let you down" (1981) and thought the two trax would sound great together, which I think they do. There is a bit of pitch shifting on the Ph. D track

Lastly, here's the "Just Gettin' Warm" track, with a sample from LL, Aphex Twin, Superchumbo, Peace Division, and a few other. I'm not too happy with some of the phrasing, but the more I TPSed, the more I dug myself into a hole

Hi phreaq,

The screen-shots really do this justice, 'cos this set is real hot. Enjoyed this one big time. For me the biggest feature was the overall flow & feel .... it was just so natural. A real beaut.

Thanks for this one, sir Smile
