Ah, don't mean to be picky, but this is a MixMeister users forum, not a forum for EZ Vinyl Converter 2 users.
Apparently, EZ Vinyl Converter is a new MixMeister product bundled with Numark turntables (though it is not mentioned on this page which lists MixMeister products.) Still, this isn't the best place to get assistance with it -- at best, you might get really lucky and find someone on the forums who uses the same kit and could try to assist you. It would be more efficient to try the EZ Vinyl Converter forum here. I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

To be fair, the product comes with a leaflet with the mixmeister website details. The instructions are not very clear as they imply that the product must be connected to a stereo system using the RCA cables as well as the USB connecting to the computer. I have had similar problems getting mine to work, will try again using USB only. I have already checked the sound card setting

Thanks for the update, I didn't realize MixMeister info was included with that other program.
I use an Audio-Technica turntable that has a direct USB connection into my PC ... I don't also hook it up to a stereo system, and don't believe that should be necessary, but who knows how the other gear works. The software that came with the A-T deck is "Pyro" and it's pretty simple to operate. I think the important thing with this "convert your vinyl" gear is that the turntables come complete with a preamp, otherwise you'd have trouble getting useful levels on the output (my not-so-technical understanding of how it works...) I'm not sure why they say to run it thru a stereo system -- maybe that's meant to be an "either / or" kind of instruction ... you can either use it as a regular turntable (thus the need for a stereo system) OR you can use it to rip / convert your vinyl (hence the USB connector.) Just guessing, though ... I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |
