Does anyone know where I can find a plugin that replicates the sound of cutting the power to a turntable? ie. So I can apply this plugin and it will slow the track playing to a standstill but at the same speed as if I had unplugged the power to the deck. I have searched everywhere for this but cannot find any sign of it.

It does sound like quite a simple thing to do but then again I'm not used to making plugins so maybe I'm wrong!

you might look for an effect called "doppler"... i believe the WAVES plugin bundle carries it. I'm just basing this off of the Doppler effect in my WAV editor ... it has an effect that makes it sound like things just slowed to a stop. Hyperprism might have one, too.

Take a look at Breakbeat Paradise. They have tonnes of samples, many of which have vinyl sounding effects (backspins, brakes, etc). You'll probably need to use them as an overlay

I'm new to MM but I would imagine that you need to use a tempo change with a pitch bend effect over the top, following the same ramp as the tempo.

A)If you mean a slow wind down, then you do the above over a few bars

B) If you mean the 'brake' effect of pressing the stop button on a deck, then you do the above over half a bar for instance.
