Hey fellow mixers. Here's my first offering to beatmixing.com. It has a few of my old faves right up to recent releases.

Most of the tracks are my own edits, designed either to add a little excitement or just designed to make mixing easier. However a couple sound a bit strange due to the conversion to .wma and then transferred back to MM (sort of like they're playing through a pipe!). Any advice re what causes this to happen?

The VOGGUE track is a fave that may seem a little out of place, but seems to sit nicely in the mix and I especially like the new version of "I Touch Myself" even though I couldn't resist combining the different versions available and adding a few tricks. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

By "the conversion to .wma" do you mean when MM makes the .wma file to submit to the radio station? Or do you mean some conversion that you did prior to importing the tracks into MM to make your mix?

I got something for your mind, your body and your soul.

The tracks I am referring to are edits that I have made using just one track, cutting, pasting, looping, effects etc and then saving and converting that playlist to a .wma (in MM). Then when I import that version to my library to use as a track in mixed paylists, the sound is distorted - sort of phased.

So no, it's not the conversion for submission, but more likely a problem with my MM skills!

I've just edited a couple of tracks in the last 2 days which I converted to 128kps .mp3 tracks and the problem does not seem to occur.

Location: Germany in Soest. It´s a little town with old churches, a picturesque old town, many homelike pubs, but also discos and shopping centers. Countrified ambience. It´s a good mix - I love it!

This runs always without any hearer. I hear it now the first time, it´s good Eek Eek Clapping

What is the cause why so many DJs give up here? Damned, this mix is good! Really!

DJ now on-air: DJ Tonto
Mix Name: 80s,90s & Now!
Current track: Chain reaction
Current artist: steps
Time into mix: 00:18:54
Listeners: 2

I have seen this number of listeners the first time for this mix. Why? It´s not so perfect like the great
beatmixing.com - mixers, but it´s good!

Holger.
