First of all, Hello to everyone here. I go by plur, but feel free to call me Kevin if you wish. By no means do I consider myself to be a MM expert or even moderatly familiar with everything MM Pro 6 has to offer. Yes, I am currently diving head first into MM Pro 6. It was given to me about a year ago and quickly put up on the shelf just after a few days, i believe, when I became frustrated with it. I brushed off the cobwebs recently when my soon to be 7 year young niece asked me to make her a Crazy Frog CD for her birthday party. Not only could I not say no to her but how can I say no to mixing. Something I've been doing since 1992. Just not with mp3's. I enjoy 99.5% of the music out there today. I just don't get that screaming at the top of your lungs music. Seriously, wtf are they saying? I've only been coming here for a short time. And in that short time I've made 4 new friends. I would like to thank them for first off lending an ear and listening to my issues, then secondly for their advice. So, Wildr, Monkey Dan, MadameFLY and djHSL... thank you. You have definatley made a noob feel welcomed.
Now, enough about me. Why in the world am I forcing upon you another Crazy Frog mix? It's got a beat and I can dance to it. And come on, he's cute! So I offer to you, Crazy Frog Unleashed. 24 toe tappin' tracks of plain goodness... Crazy Frog style. Nothing to technical in the mix as I have only been using MM Pro 6 for about a week or so. Just some straight forward mixing. So if you happen to see the mix on air, please tune in and let me know what you think. I am very open to any and all comments. Even if just you wanna bag on me for posting a frog mix. Big thanks to Wildr for giving me this opportunity. Well, I guess that's about it. Enjoy the mix. Take care, Kevin (plur). |

Ok, added to the rotation!
Let's keep an open mind folks and give Plur some feedback on his mixing! Any more new DJ's want to upload some mixes? R. |

Ok Plur,
Time to break it down for you! The beat matching was spot on, no trainwrecks or missed joins! In a couple of places the keys clash (if you want more guidance regarding harmonic mixing and how to avoid key clashes look HERE. Also in a couple of places the phrasing wasn't quite right - it wasn't far off, just the vocals (If they can be described as that Conclusion? For a first time submission this was excellent, a truly unique mix, well structured, well mixed and does exactly what it was intended to do! Well done - I look forward to getting more from you in the future with different source material!!! Nice One! R. |

Hahahahaah ... wildr, you deserve a medal ... I lasted through two transitions and that was too much Crazy Frog for me
plur, I'm hurt and feel totally betrayed that you took our skillz and used them to further the world-domination ambitions of that damned Frog!! What's next? Alvin & The Chipmunks?? (just kidding ... I think you've done a great job for your niece, and she and her friends will love it for a long time ... and the transitions that I heard were just like wildr described, spot-on.) Hey plur,
One of them was me - kinda liked what I heard No - seriously, I don't usually listen to the radio and I do not have a TV - so as a matter of fact I have not been infected by the Frog disease yet. Nice mixing from what I've heard (had to switch to Translucent to catch another addition to the stream... Well, keep those mixes coming, and personally, I'd really love to hear a Death Metal mix aired on this station - something new Best Moto free your ears and your mind will follow... |

I was just going to say that you did accomplish what you set out to do...and no...I wasn't going insane...(up until the last 10 minutes that is)
Who/What is Crazy Frog? Is it someone's idea of a joke? Is it a Riddim Group? Please help me figure this out.... Plur: Your mixes and transitions were spot on...it went right from one crazy remix into another....and the subject matter was definately all in tune _____________________________________________________________________________________ according to my wife....I lived here?? Hello plur!
I really like your "crazy" mix. But somthing I like to know: Are you german like me? You have nothing wrote about that in your profile. In the mix there is before the christmas - song a voice - loop "Hiiilfeee!!!" As far as I know "Crazy frog" is only known in Germany, but I can deceive me. Best regards. |
