Hi all,
I just uploaded a new mix. This time it is all about dancetunes from the 80's and 90's. The mix runs for 2 hours straight (and 50 secs).
Featured artists are (amongst others) Patrice Rushen, Toney Lee, Man Parrish, Stephanie Mills, Jody Watley, Cameo and Kleeer.
I hope you like the mix Smile

Robert

Nice use of the Oran Juice Jones loop underneath the transition, might have been worth carrying it on until Donna Allen's first vocal kicks in.

The flow into Rumors works well, however there is a strange sound to this tune have you added any form of compression? The hi-hats are very wishy-washy sounding.

Obviously not a fault with the Mix, probably something to do with the quality of the .mp3??

Style of the Mix is very true to the 80's feel - lovin' it so far Roberto!

Unfortunately I've got to head off to hospital shortly, but I hope to catch the rest of this set in the near future - It's the sort of stuff I love to play, and to hear Mixed well!

During this transition, I'd have dropped the bassline down to about -10 on the Medicine Song, as the 2 basslines are competiting rather than contemplating.

Excellent choice of song to mix into tho'!! Big Grin

Yup, I agree. The Oran loop should have been 2 measures longer. Smile

The Mp3 quality could be better, indeed.

I just tried that and indeed it makes the transition smoother. Thanks for the tip Big Grin

Sure thing! Feedback for me is like a present. And I like to both get and give presents Wink
I will be out of town (going to Denmark for my work) for a day or 2. Be sure I will reply to your mixes in the same manner as well. Just one mixing addict to another Wink
