Hiya Smile

This is my 2nd solo attempt, kindly uploaded for me by Wildr.

I've used lots of overlays and loops (some more obvious than others!) to extend transitions, and I've tried to stick fairly close harmonically.

I think it comes out at 16 tracks and just under 55 minutes.

Any comments will be very gratefully received.
Enjoy!

GG Smile

PS - The title was supplied by Wildr because it took me about 8 months to finish!

I lovvveee this mix (of course I may be somewhat prejudiced!) - particualrly the layering of loops form preceeding tracks, or tracks yet to come, over the top (underneath?) the transitions....

May have taken you 8 Months, but time well spent! Big Grin

Well, I'm not biased, but I really like the mix as well Big Grin

The layering is really so deft that I didn't usually notice that it was happening ... what I was more conscious of was how well the harmonic matching was done, esp. from about the Lisa Loeb track onward ... I made some notes here and there when I listened, and most say things like "nicely played!" Not every transition was of the seamless variety ... there were a couple of bolder moves and while the x-fade from Ivy into Weezer was persuasive, I didn't think the Squeeze into Bon Jovi was quite as successful -- a bit forced. The flow was immediately saved tho, by the excellent work on the last two transitions, including the mix out of INXS, which was a true dovetail join ...

Strong work, GG ... a pleasure to listen to.

an excellent mix, Big Grin
my notes mirror madame flys comments, almost to the word.
your big fans of weezer, they seem to be in every mix i've heard of yours (well expect wildrs last 3 Red Face) and thats not a bad thing.

as madame fly says not all was seamless, although the first 20 mins or so was perfection, really really topdraw, and thats with tracks i would never would have listiened to by choice.
i honestly can't wait for your next one.
your love of music really comes across in your mixes.

Just catching this from the beginning now...even I move from the trance station once in a while Wink

Nice to listen to something completely different on mmRadio - it's what Selectors Choice is all about...so when your mouse hand gets better are we going to have to wait another 8 months for your next one Wink
