Added today, File 1.1 House combined with classics from 80's & 90's you'll hear some Rap, some pop and a few other surprises all mixed in with some of the latest and greatest House tunage!

All in All it's a pretty intermediate Mix!

Comments welcome, and see if you can spot all the tunes mixed in with the first track....!

Hey Wildr - I'm listening to this as I work, it must have taken you ages to mix all these tunes!

I'd like to know how you repeat certain sections of a track. In your mix, on some tracks you repeat a part while you fade it down and mix a new track in. Did you copy the part and repeat it lots of times, or did you use a filter such as echo? Thanks for your help!

I didn't think before posting! Shame

As soon as I clicked the post button I realised you just looped part of the track! Smile

NP Jay, If you'd like I can post a couple of screenshots, any transition spring to mind at all?

Thanks Wildr.

It was a great set, but there were so many tunes I can't remember which one had the repeat effect.

I find that if I loop certain vocals, I have to turn the 'snap to beat' function off so I can isolate a part of vocal, but then when I loop it, it is out of sync with the other tune being mixed in as the beats are now longer in the same positions.

I could do it as an overlay, but if there are beats also on the vocal it would still be out of sync...what would you recommend?

(appologies, this isn't really the right thread to post this question in )

I *Think* I know what you mean Jay, but could you post a screenshot of what you're trying to do, it might make it easier for my drug addled brain to understand!!

Thanks Wildr. I've got a short audio clip of the sort of thing I mean, but I'm not sure if I can post the link here due to the forum rules. So I've sent you a PM. Smile

Okely dokely,

Try and find the acapella, and then cut all of the track except the bit you want, then instead of using the loop function just cut n paste (with S2B turned off) to make the vocal fit with the beats...

Here I've cut up and manually placed the acapella for 'Let No Man..'and 'Pump Up The Jam', to fit in time with the other tunes in the Mix....

Alternatively, you need to either cut up and place the vocal (c/w beats etc) in time with the other tune you wish to mix into/overlay.

Again you may need S2B off!

Great, thanks Wildr. I've printed your example off and I will try it out tonight.

It's amazing how many new tricks there are to learn still! Smile
