Does anyone know how to force Firefox (3.x) to open the MMRadio station in a separate media player and not as a tab in Firefox or worse yet as a window w/in one of the forums?

rodney, this has annoyed me at times as well... but also been a benefit. however, after reading your request i did a bit of thinking and here is what i came up with.
there is a ff plugin that allows wmp files to play within ff. that pluglin is np-mswmp.dll and is typically located here... C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins ...what i did was removed the np-mswmp.dll (tossed it in the recycle bin). after that, with not even a restart of the pc, i navigated here and clicked on each of the hi-fi streams... it worked! my wmp opened and played each stream. it did however open a blank tab in ff but that can be closed and the stream will still continue to play. hope that helps. |

I just found a plugin that helped me with my problem. . . it's called "mediaplayerconnectivity".
Basically, it takes a like such as the MMRadio link, and let's you open it in the media player of your choice. TheBedroomDJ.com Rodney's MySpace My website only sucks a little bit now, check it out. Now with Shoutcast streaming audio!! |
