Dad passed peacefully on Sunday morning after working through the hardship of resisting the progressive stages of colin cancer. His liver was complicated by the disease. He is an awesome force in my life and I learned a great deal by being apart of his journey. Send him a few warm prayers when time permits!

Hey Allen, You said it best with your above quote. So remember the good times and celebrate his life, and know that he's done good by you! My Father is 84 years old, part of the "Greatest Generation", World War II Veteran, and is now fighting the biggest battle of his life, prostate cancer and early stages of alszheimers. He too has been an awesome force in my life! My deepest condolences on your loss. |

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Your Father is an incredible force in our world!!! I will pray for him!!! There was a time when I evaluated my friends. I felt the absence of maturity caused many wonderful people to sever ties. When I began my recent business venture I deleted friends from this forum. I am surprised to learn who made an effort to check on my well-being or question my actions. My grandmother and fathers took the time to explain to me that forgiveness is key to living a full life. Many here were unable to forgive. I neither wish to recreate the past or question it but I do miss everyone who cared about this forum even though it brought separation to many of them and that is an awful thing to witness. I do not play games with my friends: I care about them - deeply!!! It makes you wonder when so many of them simply move on with their life as if there was minor depth to the time shared or were these just empty relationships void of long-term care and comfort? I agree with my family members forgiveness is the prescription for a well-balanced and healthy outlook on relationships. Well, it's late and I do hope you take a minute to honor your father for me for fighting the good fight and putting himself in harms way for our future! Please console him and pass my sincere thanks for his years of service!!!

Hey AJ,
I went through what you've just experienced three years ago ... in my father's case it was kidney cancer that, at the end, was pretty far spread. The hardest thing for me was to see the person that I've known all my life and have come to depend on dissolve gradually over time. It was an extremely intense time for me and I deeply empathize with you!!! Condolences on my behalf, too... Tom free your ears and your mind will follow... |

Allen, may I add my condolences to those already expressed ...
I have lost both my parents by this time in my life, so I can empathize with all who feel somewhat adrift when the "givens" of life are no more, leaving us -- the children -- to truly be the adults in our world. Just know that it was a very great comfort to your father that you were still in his world when he reached the end of his path.... My thoughts are with you. I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

allen - although we never had much, or any, interaction with one another here on the forum... there was a time about a year ago when over a weekend i scoured through a lot of the older, now archived, posts. whenever i came across one of yours, as weird as this may sound, i could sense your passion for life with every word i read. which lead me to send you a pm thanking you for opening my eyes to certain life related issues. for those wondering, and for those who were around during certain troubling times... i am speaking of allen's comments revolving around a meltdown amongst forum members here some years ago. his willingness to want to stop the fussing is a courageous act that should be admired.
like i said in that pm... for me, you are admired for your words since that is all i know of you. i am sure that is something your father was and will always be proud of. it saddens me that, like myself, your father will no longer physically be in your life... but his greatness to you and others close to him will grow stronger day by day. take care allen. kevin |

Plur, I never felt comfortable with all of the fueding. I enjoyed the artisitic growth each member pursued and progressed into. Even though everyone worked at different levels of perfection; I greatly looked forward to the projects: advanced or amatuerish. Every member somewhat fascinated me and I loved those times. Plur you have done a great thing by finding my soul in those issues. Lets become closer brothers!!!! ~ AJ |

It is always difficult for me to find the right words in English, but I only want to say that our mother is died also at cancer. She was only 55 years old! That was 1990 and we still think about it! Our son has only one grandma now! Sometimes I wish my ma were here...
Ich wünsche alles Gute, Al! (I wish all the best, Al!), Holger. |
