Sc00b....Welcome to the forum....I most definitely encourage you to dabble in mixing (it's loads of fun if you love music). I would also reccomend you listen to the Beatconscious Radio show... they have loads of goodies there that I think would appeal to you. I'm glad you were blown away by my mix...it's old by my standard (I made it 6 weeks ago), but it was the point where you could see my style growing a bit. Hopefully soon we'll all be enjoing one of your sets Take a look around the forum and take in all of the accumulated knowledge here. And if you ever feel like adding something go right ahead.... we'd love to hear from you. Welcome Grillboy...glad you found the "Mixmeister Kitchen", where we serve nothing but the best and tastiest music. Stick around, check out the site...listen to the MMRadio station. Feel free to ask any questions. When you think you're ready, just ask one of the Moderators (like myself ) to help set you up so you can submit a mix of yours.... until then, Keep it Hot!!! Thanks for the welcome.
Yes, I attended recording school in the early 90's. I mentioned that in the other thread to avoid making anyone waste time with any basic beatmatching tips or encoding type info..
I've got to say that this software is a godsend as I live with my girlfriend now and it's a challenge trying to find time when she's out to record mixes. Now I can do it all in the cans! I've got no plans do dessert my decks as I play a club twice weekly and a radio show as well, all live mixed on decks. But this software does four very valuable things for me -
1. Lets me mix in phones. 2. Preserves the quality of my records by avoiding any practice time on the vinyl. I can still "learn" the records by using this tool. 3. I can do it all sitting down. 4. I can take my time. No more shutting off the phone ringer to spend two hours recordiing a mix without interruption.
I see this tool as a great benefit to my lifestyle and situation.
Thank you Mixmeister!

Hey everyone. Figuring out how to use this forumn is harder than it was to get started with the Mixmeister! Anyway, does anyone know how to upload music from a c.d., into the computer so I can add it to my Mixmeister playlist?

Basically you need some software that 'rips' CD tracks to MP3 or WAV or WMA format. My favourite is CDEX but theres a myriad of others.

First off welcome aboard the MMC,hope you enjoy your stay here. I would also suggest giving CDEX a try,as it has always worked flawlessly for me for many a moon now,and it's very user friendly to boot. Give it a try and let us know what you think. If you have any questions about using it feel free to ask in the Tunes, mixes & playlists section of this forum, and I'd be more than glad to help you if you need.
