DJ Jim, welcome to MixMeister forum. You will find the many ppl here are willing to help you sort out MM. To slow the tempo up or down within a track. First you drag the song in question from the "entire catalog" or a category unto the playlist section of MM. Then you right click the song in the playlist. Go to properties. And then change the BPM to your liking. If you wish this to be the default BPM setting for this particular song all the time. You then select the song again, right click and and select "Save current track setting to catalog default". Let us know if you have any more questions. Make sure to post them in the proper forum categories. So others can also find these solution there. "Rocking the House with MMPro-5!!"

Just thought I'd drop in and say "hey" - in years gone by my college degree was in radio and tv prod, but now make my living with computer stuff. So while I've done radio production and v/o studio production/editing, I'm somewhat of a newbie when it comes to beatmixing, etc... but having a lot of fun learning it all. and if I can do some shameless self-promotion if anyone's looking for short "drop ins" (one-liner type quotes) I do run a WAV site as a hobby - The Daily .WAV ______________ Removed Link to web site per Forum Rule #3[This message was edited by Douglas on AUG 26, 2003 at 05:34.]

Hey, I just wanted to say hi to all the pro djs out there, and this is basically my only channel to the real world of mixing. you cant do a whole lot in a town called farmland.
I may be young, but beatmixing is part of my soul. I have a partner, and together we will dj in northern cali, just give us 2 more years..heh heh. Anyway, thanks, this is one of the best sites anyone could sign up on.

Hey Everyone, Billdo here. New to the boards, but not new to the software. Been playing with it for quite a while now, and I must say it is the most powerful and fairly easy to use software (once you get the hang of it). Been making some mixes, and hopefully can get some aired for all to listen to. Glad to be part of the community!

Hey guys, I started posting without even introducing myself (how impolite) So as an excuse - how do you like the little poem I especially made for you:
Ever since our hearts started jumping under our tissue the thrill of the beat for us became an issue. With drums in our hands we start to understand how groovy it could be to mix those beats independently. But without a gramophone nobody could mix what others have previously done!
Understand that my son?
Turntables, Mics and Power Amps became the first DJs armament. After the invention of the CD first they first felt to do now mix “virtually”. It took some time for them to understad computers have much more compex merits that only can be explored if you restudy the problem but you must change your habits. Programmers debate...an effort was made And we here should be happy for the rest of our lives because now we can share MixMeister five.
You may have notice English is not my mother tongue (I come from Europe – Germany) and to be honest I am not a well paid DJs usually rejecting four or three job-offers a week. I am rather in the “ambitioned hobbyist” category doing all that just for fun. Even though I find this is an interesting place to be – thank you for being part of it.

THought I would say hi. Im new to the site and found it through a web search. I have to say im totally addicted to the site now. Im no mixer but i may now try dabbling. Some of the music streams here are just totally amazing, i just didnt know there was so much good music out there. I mainly listen to soul/dance jazz funk, artists on the acid jazz record label. Cant say im into hard techno or trance but some of the dance mixes are amazing, Twisted Rook - Dont stop the groove mix is totally mind blowing for example. Anyway enough babbling. Hi
