Hey BadLag, Go to ebay and search for 'acapella'. There's a guy in the UK sells a DVD with over 2000 different acapellas from Beyonce to Eminem to loads of house/dance/hip hop. I got it a few months back and there's so many different ones I haven't even got round to listening to them all yet! It's perfect for getting started with mash-ups, etc. |

Welcome aboard Stevie. If there ever is a desire to get some of your sets uploaded, just contact one of the hosts of the particular station.
That controller does look sweet doesn't it. _____________________________________________________________________________________ according to my wife....I lived here?? See what I'm working on...PuffyStuff.com |

Ha Ha you must be the wholesaler then! There's actually quite a few different sellers on ebay at the minute with, what I would guess, is the same DVD. There's some good stuff on it. Found Cathy Dennis 'Touch Me' which could do with a little remixing....

Just thought I'd offically say hello. I'm a webdesigner by day took up some restaurant on the weekends. Used to mix out alot more... but have been too busy.. and jezzz it's been over a year or so. Started out on CDJ700s then CDJ1000s...CDJ800s. Took up vinyl for a bit but then just burned everythingto disc... eventually sold all hardware. And have been in Traktor 3 for sometime...and messed here and there with Mixmeister. Look forward to full on mixes with the new controller - The idea of acapellas and loops hoping to open new ground in my mixes.
All this time mixed everything from top 40 hip hop to techno. Have over a 2500 cd library of all styles. Finally capped off with mainly beatport trax. Love house... any really, but have that an ongoing obsession for prog tunes - lol just seem to keep coming backfor more . As of late I've been digging into downtempo, trip hop stuff. Psyched - G Ps- What's up with the avatar feature can't seem to get it to work....keep getting an error on your end. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Geshun, |

Welcome Geshun....about the Avatar...are you trying to upload? if so, that feature doesn't really work I think. Try hosting offsite (photobucket works well and is free) and just link from there.
Haven't been around lately, but have you got any sets in the pipeline? _____________________________________________________________________________________ according to my wife....I lived here?? See what I'm working on...PuffyStuff.com |

You may have latency issues with Fusion on a Dell system with a single core 2.0 ghz processor.
Fusion is a process intensive application that really likes to gobble up CPU processing power. There are numerous posts here in the forum discussing this. Most of them are in the "Fusion Help!" section. I ended up upgrading my single core, 2.6 Athlon (XP2600+) system to dual-core Athlon system to deal with these. I also tested Fusion on a 3.0 ghz single-core Pentium 4 system and had similar issues once I got going with the effects and overlays. To a certain extent, it depends on how much work you do with the effects rack (piling on the effects adds to the consumption of CPU resources), how many tracks you layer on top of each other, etc. For basic, simple track-to-track mixing you may be OK. MM baseline hardware recommendations for Fusion are pretty much suitable only for the simplest of uses. Generally, however, moving forward, a dual or multi-core system is the way to go. And, stay away from new Dells! We've have had no end of complaints from Dell users in the forum here lately. More information on getting yourself a new laptop or PC that will work well with an advanced sound app like Fusion can be found here. In terms of a top-of-the-line laptop I would start looking here and work my way down, as the Asus Lamborghini is an expensive beast. It's on my personal wishlist. Thanks!
