Hola fellow audiophiles.

Bought MM6 Studio a few days back and thought I'd drop in and introduce myself to the community.

I'm a Canadian transplanted to Buenos Aires. I never play for pay, but do host a couple of after-parties a month in my loft for those freaks like me who feel that Saturday night shouldn't end until 5pm Sunday Big Grin.

I usually use a product called Virtual DJ, or occasionally external CD/MP3 players, but I picked up MM because I wanted something more studio like to toy around with remixes and edits. Let me say that I've been pleasently surprised with how easy to use MM has been. When I sat down to check it out for the first time I was playing around for 10 hours straight. The program is very easy-to-use and surprisingly effective.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting everyone and getting involved in whatever goes on around here. It's always a pleasure collaborating with people who have a passion for music.

Thanx phreaq!

re: Canada, I'm originally from Sudbury and did grad school in London, so I know TO pretty well.

Yeah, Buenos Aires is off-the-frickin-hook fun. Do let me know if you and your femme are indeed heading down (Canadian winter is a great time since it will be scorching summer on this side of the planet, though January can be a bit slower since there's a mass exodus from the city to the various hot-spots on the coast). Let me know if I can help....

Hey Phreaq,

If you seriously thinking about coming down to BA, keep the following in mind:

South American Music Conference

Not only will there be a ton of great parties, but there will also be a series of workshops and conferences with a lot of the top names in the industry. This year will be focusing a lot on the use of digital technology, production, distribution and selling, the internet, dj styles and techniques and ambient production (including video).

Here's a video recap of last year's conference. Check it out.

SAMC 2004

Keep it in mind, and again, let me know if I can help with arrangements on this end.

Hey Duro,

We're actually hoping to go to Rio for New Years (gotta buy some white pants first), and a few more stops along the way, so it would be that time frame, however, this New Years I'm moving in to my new house, an 1868 school house Big Grin so perhaps 2006/07

Heh...so I guess we'll be hearing less "house" from you and more "old school," eh?

(Geez, I need a coffee).

Daz that's excellent!

It's real interesting, your comments echo those of DJ's the world over who've embraced digital Dj'ing.

More power to your mouse finger!!

Hello all, I'm Dj Incognito. New to the forums and to MM. I've had the product for a while, but never found the time to sit and play with it. I'm a house dj originally from NYC. I moved to Vegas almost 2 yrs ago from Hawaii. I'm traditionally a turntablist, but couldn't turn down the opportunity to lighten my load when it comes to doin shows, so I've gone digital and currently use Serato(at least I still get to use the tables). Things are really jumping for me right now in vegas, but I hope to put some more time into the software and have something to contribute the next time I stop to visit the forum. Until then... Hello all audiophiles attracted to the community site of the BEST audio mixing program out there.

Just recently got MM6 Pro, and have already spent copious amounts of time on it.

I am new to beatmixing and mixing in genereal and don't get all of the concepts yet, but I'm sure hangin around here and soaking up the wealth of information here will get me headed on the right track.

Personal stuff: I'm originally from the Midwest, relocated to the southwest out here in Tucson, AZ. I work with trance for the most part, and enjoy wetting my teeth on all that can be done with MM6.

So hi everyone, and it's good to be here.
Can I have everything louder than everything else?
