Hi guys and ladies,

I just want to let you know that I was yesterday one of the 1,6 million (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) people which have celebrated the Loveparade 2008! I tell you: This was such an amazing experience!

But now some material from the move:

As far as I know is the Loveparade the biggest parade of electronic music in the world. This year
40 big trucks (the floats) have rolled over the B1 with all genres of electronic music. 1,6 million people have danced to this in colorful and wild costumes, me in the full DJ Mojito outfit!!

I have seen Paul Van Dyke live, Moby live, Armin
Van Buuren and many more - Wohooooooooo!

Now I want to ask you:

How do you calebrate electronic music, and is there everywhere a bigger parade in this world than the Loveparade?

Loveparade keep rollin´, rollin´, rollin´, keep rollin´, rollin´, rollin´: Highway to love...

Gayle has PM me. You must know I ask her sometimes when I have questions about my English, but this time she was the one to teach me. So I have amend a few words in the topic. Thanks a lot Gayle (MadameFly)!

I also have asked her about the difference from the WMC and the Loveparade - very different!

Here for all the history of the Loveparade:

You know about 1990 rave was new. A raver called Dr.Motte invited other ravers to come to Berlin and to go with
him around and celebrate the new music. All people should see this! You know rave has a similar request than for example the hippies. You dance together, you feel free and feel the love in the dance. About 1990 also techno was very hip with its crazy customs. Only 150(!!!!!!!) people came to Berlin in colorful and wild customs, and they call this the Loveparade. This was the very first Loveparade! No one could see what big event
this should become...

But the next year came already 2500 ravers and techno - fans to Berlin and celebrate the new Loveparade!

And than the parade grew and grew! In the third year went already 20000 people with Dr.Motte. I don´t know the exact street, maybe Tom (Moto) knows this.

Sometime they have begun with the trucks (floats). The trucks drove around with big hi - fi - systems and played techno and rave - music!

The Loveperade grew than very fast. About 1995 or so Dr.Motte formed a own company - Loveparade.de. This company must try to find sponsors for the costs. 1999 came 1,5 million (!!!!!!!!) people to celebrate the Loveparade!

But than rave and techno got a bit out of time. Further Berlin had a lot of problems with the waste and with the toilets for the million people.

From 2000 came fewer ravers to Berlin, and than the town got huge problems to cover the expenses. This is the cause why 2005 and 2006 there was no Loveparade!

But the Loveparade company announced the parade in whole Europe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And than they chose the Ruhr - area! Why? This is the biggest metropolitan area in Germany with an excellent infrastructure!
Further not so far away are Köln and Düsseldorf and not at last the Netherlands and Belgium!!!!!!! Thus a fantastic new place for the Loveparade!

And so the Loveparade ran 2007 through Essen in the Ruhr - Area! Now other electronic music is hip like electro - house and trance! Many, many, many fans!

And this year through Dortmund! And they have gotten ahead of the old record from 1999: This year came 1,6 million people to the Loveparade!!

Till 2011 the parade is in the Ruhr - area! This is great for me, because Soest is about 100 kilometers afar from this area!


But Europe, watch out!!!!! From 2012 they announce the Loveparade new! Maybe the Loveparade is in London one day!!!!
