Here's me and my lady Lilly at her brother's house in the small village of Rieden, just outside the city of Amberg, Germany
Finally shaken off the "jet lag", unpacked and rested up. Took tons of pictures of some amazing sights. Once I sort thru them I'll post some more! |

Here are some pics of the temple of Walhalla. Modeled after the Parthenon in Athens, Greece, this "Hall of Fame" was built by King Ludwig I in the early 1800's and is located on the Danube River 10 km east of Regensburg, in Bavaria, Germany. It was built as a place to honor Germany's most famous men and women
This is the view from Walhalla overlooking the Danube River. If you travel along this river from one end to the other you will pass through 10 countries! Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Ukraine! |

This day we spent in the City of Nuremberg. This beautiful Bavarian city was over 95% destroyed during World War II
We visited the Church of St. Lawrence, a Gothic Basilica built in the mid 1200's! Notice the scaffolding on the right side of the church. During the war, it sufferred extensive damages. Restoration is still on going! I tell you these pictures don't do it no justice, when you walk in there, It's takes you back to the times of the Knights Templar! |
