Trying to create a little spring mix here but keep running into trouble.

The beats are terribly off on every other tune I play. I'm using the song slicer but its not as simple as it seems in the tutorial.

Is there another simpler way to get the beats to match properly? Have I missed anything important cause I cant believe so many of my songs can be this much out of synch with this program...

Khozi,
Your songs are not out of synch nor is MixMeister.
MixMeister tries it’s best to align the beats but it is not perfect.
I re-do all my songs in the SongSlicer before I ever use them. This way I know my tunes are set and ready to go.
Here is a link with some reading for you. Call it a quick guide. However once you get reading you will see there is some work to be done. Also, feel free to browse under “Search” to find and other topics you may be looking for.

Good luck and feel free to comment or ask more questions if you have them.

If you are still confused about song slicer, take a look at the Song Slicer tutorial in Featured Tips and Tutorials. You may find it useful.

Thanks for the info! Its getting better and better.

Could anyone tell me how to lower bass / treble on just a small part of a song?

Also if you want to add some effects (like lasers and short acapellas) to your mix how do you go about?

I'd really recommend reading the help documentation and the tutorials, this is basic stuff.

Simply put, press 'b' for bass and 't' for trebble to set marker points. These marker points can have a positive or negative value, which either reduces or increases the levels.

Acapellas and other samples are best suited to overlay tracks. Read up on Overlays and all should become clear.

Thanks man!

One final question. By mistake Ive added like 40 different bpm marks on a song and this makes the whole thing sound terrible... How do you go about removing these markers?
Have you had your serotonin surge today?

More basic stuff ... and just like most things on a computer (files on the hard drive, etc.) -- select and delete. In the case of tempo markers in v.7 MM products, select and right-click will give you a context memo offering:
