Hi guys,
New to MixMeister. I think I am having a problem. I have downloaded the free version of mixmeister to calculate the BPM for my iTunes library. I previously used beatunes to do it but it did a horrible job, especially on the slow tunes. I have installed MixMeister, I have imported the library into Mixmeister and it shows up listing the BPM previously placed there by beatunes. Beatunes also did not cacluate every song. NOw after I import, the help file for MixMeister says that I should click rescan all files! I do that but nothing happens except the BOM column going empty. THe status bar at the bottom still says ready. It doesn't seem like anything is happening. Am I doing something wrong? I am running a p4 with xp. 2.4 GHz should be able to handle whatever mixmeister throws at it right? Please let me know if you have any thoughts here. RKIII |

If you're looking for sites with Dance music in mind, here are a few to start you off
Beatport: One of my personal favorites, Solid selection, decent prices, previews available, 320kbps CBR MP3s & Wav Files. Traxsource: Comparable to Beatport above, with the added bonus of having a Wishlist (select tracks now, buy them later when you can...without having to re-search for the tracks you want). Stompy: House lover's paradise. Available in 320kbps CBR MP3s & Wav format. If you're looking for Trance, you're not gonna find it at Stompy. Dancetracks Digital: Online version of the NY based record store. I don't remember if they offer wav files. AudioJelly: UK based Digital store. Offers 320kbps CBR MP3s only (No Wav files from what I see). Juno Records: A UK based site, they have Vinyl & CDs as well as Digital Downloads...They offer their files at 192kbps, 320kbs, and some files in Wav format. If you're buying from the US, you'll note that Juno has slightly higher prices than the first three sites I mentioned above (but not that bad). DJDownload: They have some good stuff...but they are WAY pricey in my opinion (192kbps files @ $2.48 & 320kbs @ $2.97) Perfect example: Soul Rebels - The Revolution Will Not Be Televised (Acapella) Beatport: $1.99 @ 320kbps Traxsource: $1.99 @ 320kbps DJDownloads $2.97 @ 320kbps But...i'll still go there for acapellas that those two don't have. There are more out there...but I haven't shopped at those places yet...so I can't comment on them yet. I still rely on emusic.om for it's awesome selection of indie and obscure stuff ... they impress me with their downtempo selection, dub reggae choices and endless amounts of jazz.... They sell by subcription -- e.g., a certain number of downloads for a set price per month (mine is 65 for $10) Needless to say, no DRM woes with these folks. Bitrate varies....
