Confused

Hey guys ok so what im trying to do is this. Say I have a song and I want to crop a certain part from it, about 20 seconds long or so. So I do that, but then I need to speed it up. But, I dont know how! Ive tryed using another program to speed it up and then put it onto MM but the quality sounds really bad. If someone could PLEASE help me with this it would be very appreciated. I need to make a Dance Routine Song for my girlfriend's cheerleading. Thankyou!!

Interestingly, the MixMeister program comes with a really nifty Help file ... if you search on the word "speed" as in speed up the song, you'll find this:

quote:
Customize your Beat Mix
....

Try these techniques for customizing your beat mix.

Synchronize the two songs for a longer period of time. In the outgoing track, drag the first sprocket in the Outro Range to the left to make the Outro Range longer. Then, drag the last sprocket in the Intro Range for the next track to the right.

Start mixing the incoming song sooner. Click the red bar at the top of the Outro Range, and drag the bar to the left. MixMeister Studio snaps the position of the beginning of the range to the closest quarter note by default, if Snap To Beat is enabled.

Speed the music up a little. Grab the red tempo box (at the bottom of the screen), and drag it up a little bit to increase the tempo at that point.

Keep the tempo the same over the entire overlap. Drag the tempo boxes in the Intro Range so they are at the same level.

Now play your own beat mix. Zoom out a little so that you can see a tempo box on either side of the Outro Range. Notice that MixMeister Studio plays the song at its original tempo during the middle of the song, and then starts to adjust the tempo of the outgoing song just before the Outro Range starts. It also continues to change the tempo of the incoming song after its Intro Range is over, until it gets back to the original tempo for that song.

The difference between getting a copy/paste answer here in the forum or reading the Help file yourself, is that when you read the Help file, you will also see the illustrations, which are even more useful ....

If you still have questions after you've read the manual, let us know and we'll try to assist you.... Be sure and post your question in the section of the forum reserved for the product you use, e.g., post it in Pro 6 Help. That way, the answers you get will be there to help the next person also.

Thanks Smile
