Sorry, I am JUST beginning to mess with the program, have never messed with it before, just trying to start small and make my own mixes to work out to and when I have house parties too.

Basically, I have a few mixes that are like 1+ hour long. I've been able to cut out the pieces that I want to use, but since they are part of the same "song" they are on the same level.

Is it still possible to add the intro/outro effect so that the pieces of the mix I want to use can still blend together.

The way it is right now is basically part 1 of the mix I want to use plays and then at the very end it stops abruptly and the next part starts playing and it sounds horrible. I tried messing with the volume but I need that outro effect so that the songs overlap and flow together more.

Thanks in advance!

I'm using 7.3.1

I could be wrong, but it sounds like this user is saying he has some purchased mix cds and he's trying to cut out the parts he doesn't want and then just use what's left ... so it's one long track on one strip: he cuts out chunks and drags them together and it sounds (as it must) like crap.

It's not that it needs an "outro effect", it's more a matter of misunderstanding what the program does ... I'm guessing watching the video tutorial would be a good idea.

The basic idea is that you use the program to mix individual tracks, each track being on it's own strip in the timeline. So if you choose to work with material from a commercially purchased mixed CD, the first thing to do would be to generate individual tracks, NOT to try working with it as one long track.

You can rip the mix CD using a third party software, and then import those tracks into your library, and then bring the individual tracks you want to use into the playlist ... then you can mix them (if, in fact, they work well together) using the techniques described in the Help file and the tutorials.
