Hi,
I have a pretty simple question. I bought MixMeister recently and tody I asked myself the folowing question: If MixMeister is able to adjust the speed of a track without altering the KEY (simply took the term from the user interface). Then it should be able to adjust the KEY without altering the speed ... or both. I have a few tracks, that simply were born to be mixed unfortunately they have different KEYs. I know that you can't translate a "mol" into "dur" (sory for the german), but you should be able to tralslate one "mol" song into another and a "dur" into another. How can I do this using MixMeister? Regards, Chris |

Select one of the tracks you want to change in the Playlist (right-side panel).
Right-click on the track and from the menu, select the last one (Adjust Track Properties, I think it is called). This will open a dialog window and one of the offerings is to change the key of the song, either up or down. I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

Hi,
first of all thanks for that pretty quick reply. Unfortunately it didn't help :-( As far as I can see it, MixMeister only uses the bpm value to adjust the pitches of two tracks. When I put a single track in the list it doesn't matter if its 70 or 140 bpm. Only if I try to mix the two ... jikes! ... sounds Awfull. I usually modfify this by a factor of 2 if the beat detection detected a too slow bpm value. I just tried the folowing ... Took one track and mad a copy of the file ... imported both into the playlist and mixed them after one another. Then i shifted the fade in and fade out parameters in a way that both tracks ran simoultaneously. I could now hear only one track. So I edited the key value and expected to her two ... but I could still hear only one. I think the information is just for Informational purposes. So someone with a little experiance can immediately which tracks dont mix well. Any suggestions? With kind regards, Chris |
