dude - what i do is use another program to record my vinyl.

I use sony soundforge. I then save that as a FLAC file, into my music library.

Then when i mix up choons, i convert the ones i need, to mp3.

Most people don't save as FLAC but straight to mp3.

not sure if that is the best way .. but that is how i do it.

I also use Soundforge. I save as Mp3.

Soundforge is a great recording tool you can use. You can even get the Pop's and stuff out of your vinyl.

Audacity is a good tool as well, open source, and free.
