Greetings and thanks in advance for your help,

I've got mixes (to .wav format) that I've done in Ableton Live 7.0 that I'd like to try and upload to one of the Beat Mixing radio stations, but I was wondering if there is a way to bring that .wav mix into MixMeister Express 6 so as to get it in the proper format for the radio stations.

Do I have to bring the .wav mix into a MixMeister Product or will a text file playlist and the .wav file be enough? Thanks again for your help.

the purpose of the mmradio stations is to have an outlet available for users of the mixmeister (mm) product. the goal behind airing a mix is to show what can be done with mm. in other words, a mix that has been created from scratch, track for track, overlay for overlay, effect for effect within the mm product.

importing a pre-made mix created by separate software into mm and uploading to one of the stations is not what they are intended to serve.

if you can recreate the mix in mm, then we can talk. something to remember, each track must be tagged correctly in order for the stream capture to show what is being played (track for track, artist for artist).

if you need any further assistance please don't hesitate to ask.

Hello and welcome to the MixMeister Community, and I see plur got here before me, so you get a double-shot of advice on this matter Wink

Here's part of a write-up in the Forum Information section gives you some important information about Beatmixing.com and mmRadio:

quote:
Welcome to Beatmixing.com

You've found beatmixing.com, the home of the MixMeister music mixing community. Beatmixing.com exists to connect MixMeister users from around the world, to help them develop their mixing skills and share their creations with the masses.

Do I Need Mixmeister?

Well, we think you'll get the best out of beatmixing if you do, but anyone who loves brilliantly mixed music will enjoy the diversity of tunage available on the mmRADIO network, five stations of 100% ad-free 24/7 continuous mixed music lovingly crafted buy our members. We're sure that once you have sampled the quality of the mixes the MixMeister software can produce you'll want in on the action. You can download a trial copy of MixMeister here and let your mixing imagination run riot!

In other words, the purpose of mmRadio is to provide a venue for mixes made using MixMeister software ... so, technically, for your mixes to be eligible to stream on mmRadio, you'd need to import each track into MixMeister, remake the mix using the program and then submit that mix to the station of your choice.

While people who have other software do use it e.g., to work on adding effects to individual tracks which they then import into MixMeister to add to a mix, that is understood to be the limit of the role of third party software.

Bottom line: mmRadio is intended for people to show off the mixes they have made using software from MixMeister, the company that sponsors the station.
