I've been using MixMeister for quite some time now and have always found it to beatmatch songs perfectly. Once in awhile I'll have 1 track that drifts off, but it's usually not a big deal.

This has all changed with my latest project. It seems like every other mix has a drift problem that I don't know how to correct. The beats will be matched perfectly for about 8 or 16 measures, then it'll suddenly be off by a slight fraction. It will always correct itself after 8 measures or so, but it sometimes happens again later during the transition.

These are standard house/trance beats, 4x4, and happening during parts of the song that are not "complicated" or have a lot going on. I've been mixing these types of songs for awhile now and never have a problem.

I reinstalled the software, deleted the project, deleted the mxm files, added everything back and even mixed them in a different order.. still happening.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? Pretty bummed out this is happening all of a sudden.
Have you had your serotonin surge today?

Your profile states you use "7" but doesn't indicate what version . e.g., the latest version for Fusion or Studio for PC is 7.2.2.

Do you use the Slicer much at all, or do your tracks usually just fall together without needing adjustment in the slicer?

What about opening an older mix that you know worked perfectly ... is it all still in sync?

I could be wrong, of course, but I don't think tracks tend to drift out of sync for reasons that can be cured by reinstalling the software .... However, if older mixes that were OK when you first made them are suddenly not when you open them now, that would be good to know....

Sorry.. Using 7.0.2 here...

My tracks have always just fallen together without needing (much) adjustment. Sometimes the beats will counter each other during a mix, but that's pretty easy to fix.

I don't have any of my past projects saved, so I can't test that. I have made a dozen or so mixes in the past, one even 3 weeks ago with zero problems. It's just so weird that it's happening all of a sudden.

I'll have to take a look at the Slicer as I've never even seen it. Maybe I just need to wait a few weeks and start a new mix with all new songs. heh

Thanks for the reply!
