We trained him wrong...you know, for a joke |
For users of previous versions of Mixmeister who've invested in DX plugins the change to the more versatile VST plugin format meant that the previous time and possibly financial investment in DX plugins seemed to be lost...this could expecially be true for users of the excellent Wave's plugin bundles.
Well fret no more, it is possible using a free VST "wrapper" to get all your old DX plugins working in Fusion/Studio 7, and here's how: 1) Download FFX-4 from http://perso.orange.fr/vb-audio/us/products/dxrack/dxrack.htm 2) Install it with the default options. 3) Copy VB_ffx4.dll from C:\Program Files\VB\FFX4\ to c:\Program Files\Mixmeister Fusion\ 4) Launch Fusion (or Studio 7) and add a track and the VB_ffx4 plugin 5) Launch the effect control panel for VB_Ffx4 6) Click one of the 4 "rack" slots on the plugin control panel, it will gve you a list of all your DX plugins. The DX plugin control panel will launch. 7) You can add up to 4 DX plugins with FFX4 8) Set up your DX plugins to your preference. The Fusion/Studio 7 sound output will be routed through them.
