Realise I am a little behind the times, but anyway.
Have been using version 3 for some time, but recently bought a 2nd hand copy of MM4PRO from a friend who was upgrading to 5.
Question is, can I still play all my version 3 palylists? Every time I try to open one it comes up blank and will no longer open in 3 either.

You can open the playlists you created in MM3 to MM4. But you cannont open playlists you created in MM4 in MM3. Sorry.

So, if you don't want MM4 to corrupt your MM3 playlists, simply save it as a different name.

Had a play with this on new laptop and surprise, for some reason I can now open the old v3 playlists in v4 on that machine.
I think my old pc just hates me for some reason.

Wouldn't your friend have been better off purchasing an upgrade to 5 than selling you their copy of 4 and buying a new licence?

Hey shark, please don't feel like I'm jumping all over you, but realize that this really isn't kosher when it comes to software licensing.

I assume that your friend bought Pro 5 at the upgrade price, but he doesn't have the right to then turn around and sell you his old copy of Pro 4. Also, you won't be eligible to upgrade your own copy to Pro 5, Pro 6, Pro 7, etc. If you upgrade your MM3 to Pro 5, on the other hand, you'll have a better product and you'll sleep better at night.

This kind of thing happens all the time, and I myself used to do it before I thought about copyright issues and things like I do now. It's great that you're a part of the MM community and please keep posting, but I couldn't help pointing this issue out.
