Hi "Slippenstein",
Listen: I have seen this mix a often, but I have thought that this is not my style. But now as I have stepped into "All mixed up" with my debut "Wedding party" I have contact with you and Douglas. He have named me a link for cool mixes, and suddenly I have noticed that this is really a cool music. My ear was not prepared for this cool sound, do you understand? And hence I listen now to your mix, Slip. It is "Breakbeat", slip, isn´t it? This sound was here in Germany very popular in the 80´s, but now here are dead trousers in this style. Damned! Slip, your mix is really a fine "Breakbeat" - Mix. Why have I noticed that not before? My ears! I´m a little afraid that my different mix don´t fits in this R&B - , Hip Hop -, Funk - and Breakdance - mixes. Wildr takes seemingly a vacation, so I stand at present alone with this kind of mixes here. Again: A fine mix is this, slip! I begin to like this style! Viele Grüße aus Soest in Deutschland (Many greatings from Soest in Germany from) Holger, "DJ Mojito", "Mojito". Choose what you like. |

Mojito,
don't worry about not fitting in ... your mix (so far I only managed to catch like 10 to 20 minutes of it) is AMU without any doubt! The music you choose to mix is totally up to you as long as it is "power mixing" ... some transitions will be better than others, and some people will like your mix, while some will probably not ... I consider this to be a good thing. I can't say if I'm expressing general (Beatmixing.com) opinion here, but pluralism is what we want!!! ![]() And I'm afraid that the German phrase "tote hose" doesn't translate to "dead trousers" in English ... what you mean is "totally out of date" free your ears and your mind will follow... |

Tom,
thank you very much for your constitutive words. Yeahr, it´s probably really so, that every DJ has his / her own style in mixing. Also in the transitions, in overdubbing and arragement of the mix. It´s like writers: You can comper John Steinbeck with Schiller, Büchner, Goehte, Hemingway, Tolstoi etc., every author has his / her own style. Very, very different, but all are brilliant! So it is seemingly with our mixes! Slip, listen: Tom has again well said what I have meant. I have learned English in school, and it was one of my favourite subjects. I know the grammar and I hope that the cases are designed well from me. Sadly I don´t know every vocabularies, and for that I use a German - English - wordbook in the internet. I open it at the same time when I write here something in the forum. But my English word pool has become much larger till summer, cause I write here always in English. Difficult are the common speech: This is often not known by the word book. However even hard slangs in the forum I can understand in the meantime, and that takes yet much pleasure to me!!!! I have advised the "Toten Hosen" verbally translate. I have attend a writer course before about ten years, there I have learned that you can seldom translate a sentence verbally. But I think it is amusing for you to learn to know some German expressions verbally. And the verbally translation of "Hier ist absolut tote Hose" is "Here is absolute dead trousers". That means: "Here is absolute nothing doing". Isn´t that blithe for you?! I have meant that my mix stands alone with his Pop-, Rock´n´Roll-, Soul-, Metal-, Funk-, Trance-, Happy Techno-,Rap-, Hip Hop-, Rock-, Country - Mix, because BigVic mixes mostly R&B and Hip - Hop, you Breakbeat, yellowngreen 100´s. My Mix seems different from that, but as Tom have said: "Pluralism" is it!!! I´m glad that you have fun with the "dead trousers". Sometimes phrases are going from one language to another, perhaps that is so with the "dead trousers". When you will say in future "Here is absolute noting doing" you can say "Here is absolute dead trousers". Or when you want to say "This style is totally out of time" you say "This style is totally dead trousers". Greatings, Holger / "Mojito" |

Dear Kevin,
sadly I´m not so versed in the internet like you. How works that with the red links? A word is red in the text, you click at that and you are linked with another side. How do you marke a word red for that links? When I had know that, I had searched for you a side about the "Toten Hosen". But I don´t know how that works! And how I do a screenshot? Damned Kevin, I don´t know that. Thank you very, very much for your nice screenshots about the "Toten Hosen" and in "Best of Harddance - DJs 2007" in "Translucent". Is it grown better now in california with the terrible fires, Kevin? Are you and your family still well off? Greetings and all the best, Holger alias "DJ Mojito" / ""Mojito". |

Holger, when you have the Reply window open, look at the buttons across the top: the third button from the left says URL. When you click this button, you see a little window with two fields you can fill in: --The first field is where you paste the URL of the page you want to link to (you copy that URL out of the Address Bar when you are actually on the page you want to link to). --The second field is where you type the words that you want to appear in red (which is the "title" of the hyperlink you are making.) That's it! As for posting pictures, you first need to have a place to host the pictures ... either your own website, if you have one, or a Photobucket account. Once you have your picture uploaded to the host site, and you know what the URL is for that picture (this part is easy on Photobucket) then you use the second button from the right on your MM forum reply form (the green square icon) to paste in the URL so your picture will display here on the forum. HTH I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |
