This is the mix that won the recent TMF Rock Contest. I think it will fit nicely here because it was a Mixologist style mix. I didn't alter nor change anything from the original mix from the contest.

Diamond Dog, sorry it took me so long to finally submit this mix. But it took me two full weeks to plot all my music library in MMP6. Plus a few issues with the submit tools and MMP6. But finally here it is! Enjoy!

I had the opportunity to listen to the Rock mix… as always, well done Andre.

From the title I was expecting more of a Rock mix than a dance mix. This mix did have a wide range of rock (pop rock) tracks within but most of it sounded like filtered 4-8 measures overlaid on instrumental dance beats.

I would like to hear a true rock mix, strictly rock music… no dance beats, no pop rock tracks...

Again, great job Andre, always great to hear your creations.

Thanks Douglas. But I feel once you start "beatmixing" Rock beats, not matter how you look at it, it becomes Dance music. Which leaves it open to adding other dance beats to support and stretch out the odd 3/4 and 5/4 beat patterns that Rock commonly has.

I've mixed rock music before and it wasn't easy. I personally choose not to mix rock, unless it's with a dance beat...

I was simply saying it would be very impressive to hear a rock mix strictly with rock music only, no dance beats.

Still can't clearly understand why you had to take it out in the first place and why only mine from the previous schedule. Since you plan to just add the other ones to the rotation.

I just checked the date of the mix on the server and noticed it was dated 9-20-2004... so I am in error for pulling the mix out of rotation so soon, time got away from me....

I apoligize for all that missed the mix, so I'm putting it back into rotation... enjoy.
