That's the message that I get when I try to rip a mix onto a CD-R on my notebook - both with 6.1.3 and with 6.1.6. It had worked with my notebook until I had to replace the DVD-R drive. After replacing that drive, it has not been able to rip discs. (I have full functionality on my desktop machine.)
I have been able to rip files from Windows Media Player and just dragging and dropping them into a folder, but MMPro still fails to copy. The notebook is an HP Pavillion ze2000 with a Sempron 3000+, 512k of memory, and 128mb video card. Any thoughts? Eric Caldwell Douglas, Alaska |

Hey Eric,
Had same problem myself awhile back - needed an updated driver for my CDR engine. Check with tech support, they should be able to tell you what you need and where you can get help. Check This List of supported engines. hope that's some help, R. |

Do you mean MixMeister tech support or HP tech support?
The drive itself is identified as: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532R Some of what I'm finding online says that this drive is manufactured by Samsung, but I'm not finding much (any, really) driver support for it. Eric Caldwell Douglas, Alaska |

HP online tech support couldn't find any drivers either, but said to try uninstalling the driver and rebooting. For some dumb reason, it worked.

Hello
Well once you've installed the drive update patch if you still can't burn with MMP then install Alcohol 120%. I stopped using that program a long time back and decided to give it a try again after it loaded MMP worked again. So it seems that something Alcohol loads is also neccessary for MMP. |

(if you choose to do this and something get screwed up, i cant be held accountable) to uninstall the driver (in XP)... start -> (right click) My Computer -> Properties -> Driver -> Device Manager -> (click the + next to) DVD/CD Rom Drives -> (right click) the drive in question -> Properties -> Driver -> Unistall -> Reboot your PC... Windows should be able to locate the driver automatically and reinstall. If that does not work for you, then I would suggest contacting MM Tech Support... actually I would suggest doing that first! |
