Live @ The Masquerade is my next installment of remastered rave party mixes.

As we crossed into the 21st century, rave parties for Atlanta were at an all time high. Some of the biggest acts from Europe were finally arriving and "The Light" was no exception. It was incredible news for me when I was told that we would be bringing "The Light" to Atlanta for the first time and I was in the lineup. With three months advance notice, I went right to work on what would be my first ever live breakbeat set. I knew that with the help of probably close to 100k watts of pure rippin' sound that this was a golden opportunity to exploit some of the new progressive, cosmic, atmospheric, and electro breakbeat records that I had started to collect. Once I started on the mix, it took me all the way up until just a few weeks before the party to complete. One thing unique about constructing the mix is that it was built backwards so as to make sure that it ended with an uplifting remix of Touched By God from The Light. This technique was used to ensure that I got to that song in the alloted time I was given.

Remastering this set brought back incredible memories for me on a once in a lifetime magical evening. Come back with me in time to that steamy evening on the 24th of June, 2000 and experience first hand what took place the night of the party.
