Can MM burn a CD that is 01:20:40?

I know that some 3rd party CD burning programs like Nero have an option to burn more than 80 mins / 700 mb of data onto a disc (I know it is not recommended, but it is available for the bold user Smile) ... and I know there are no option controls in the MM CD burning functionality ... it's just click and burn ... so I'm guessing the program will balk at anything over 01:19:55 (I think that's about the limit).

Anyway to tweak this? Or is editing the mix down by about 1 minute the only option?

Or is this a time to export (to wav, I guess) w/ label markers and take the mix into a 3rd party program that will permit the excess burn amount?

It's called "overburning" and there is nothing you can do to get MM to support it, and from within Nero it does suggest excercising extreme caution as it is possible to wreck your burner I believe.

I've managed to go up to about 82 1/2 minutes with my burner in Nero and the CD has played alright - so to answer your question it's export time.

Ah, as I suspected Frown

I started to create an edited version of the mix, might as well stick with it ... it's another learning opportunity Roll Eyes

mfly,

instead of editing the trax, you could try bumpy them all up 1 or 2 bpm, just enough to squeek them in.

you could always save as mp3 and burn it in nero, with overburn 40 seconds won't hurt anything, even a couple of mins. would be possible, you can always do a test burn to see if you get errors, then you will know how long you can overburn for

That's from the chorus on Omni Trio's Soul Promenade (Nookie Remix) from the album Music for the Next Millennium, released at the end of the last millennium, probably 1998 or so.
