I popped one of my mixes into my Sony CD player, and CD Text came up!!! kinda.... some of the trax were incorrect, and other times, it was one track ahead. I didn't even know this was a feature now!

i'll have to check this, had not yet played one of my MM mixes in either of the units that displays CD text ....

i did notice (in terms of the track number display on the usual CD player) that w/r/t mashups -- let's say you have track 6 which then has a couple of minutes of track 7 playing simultaneously and then 7 drops out and you're just listening to track 6 by itself again -- you will see your track number display move from 6 to 7 at the point the mashup starts, but you won't see it move back to "6" once track 7 is finished ... don't know how the text function would handle this aspect of a mix.

As for overlays, I'm not sure they get displayed separately ....

Phreaq - thats a good find! Smile I was exporting as WAV, then manually naming the tracks in Nero then burning in order to get CD Text!!!

Once I start my next mix, I'll be sure to check this out.

when i export a mix in wav format, and have the tracks broken mm labels them with track title and who it's by, this seems to have happened only after i installed the radio submit tool, and to be honest it's a godsend. Big Grin Big Grin

I, too, was quite pleased to see a mix CD I'd recorded from Pro6 had the CD text... but as others have noticed, everything was 1 track off (i.e., track1 showed track2 info, etc). Anyone have a fix for this yet?

Hey Bear,

think this may have been covered elsewhere, but I'm guessing that you select the option to split tracks at label markers to identify which track is which?

In my car the Cd player recognizes the change from track1 to 2 I believe because I do not have this option selected (I.E. automatcially changing tracks as transition ends).

To solve the issue I think you need to put a label marker in for track 1 in order for the CD to be burnt with an indictaor of trakc1>2 transition.

does any of what I've just typed make sense? Confused

R.

heya, Wildr -- Aaron told me the fix for this.

Yes, I use label markers for splitting tracks. I was being a bit too logical, I think Smile What I was doing (and is the improper way) was... let's say I have track 1 transitioning into track 2... if I wanted "track 2" to officially start at a certain point, I'd put the label marker on track 2, indicating this is where I wanted that track to "start."

MM doesn't "think" in terms of "where you want the next track to START." It thinks in terms of "where do you want the curren track to END."

The fix was that instead of placing the label marker on the "new" track you wanted to "start," you placed the label marker on the currently playing track indicating a place you wanted it to "officially end".

To me, it still isn't logical to say "i want something to END here", but is logical to say "this is where I want something to START." But as long as there's an easy workaround, it's really not that big of an issue anymore Smile

it's a minor inconvenience, but a work around nonetheless....

what it doesn't address, though, is where you may have multiple tracks overlayed or mixed together "inside" your main track, or perhaps you have three quickly beat mixed tunes together for an introduction, and you want to actually call that section "introduction" as per cd text, and not have it call on the mp3 tag. this would be a great feature to have, and probably rounds out the feature list required to go from nothing to cd in one (dare i say it) program!!!
