I’m having a problem with a remix I’m working on. If I copy a section of an overlay farther down the timeline, it ‘messes’ up the playback. What I mean by messed up is I hear parts of the track the overlay is from, but they aren’t from the overlay that’s playing (a different verse is playing). An almost ghosting effect. It is completely repeatable, and happens if I copy either overlay. Deleting the overlay returns everything to normal.

Any thoughts?

this is if your pics mean that you hear the ghosting in those "empty spaces" between the two iterations of the overlay ... what happens if you include a vol. marker at the end of each overlay and take the vol to 0 ... and then back up again at the beginning of the next O/L?

Hey mfly,

Ok, I threw in a zero volume marker where there is no overlay, and the ghosting went away, which means (I think), that the overlay is still playing even though it is cropped in length and not meant to play.

sounds like a job for support.

yeah, it's as though MM wants you to drop in separate iterations of the song to O/L at different points, rather than chopping up the single O/L track and moving its segments to other places along the timeline ... so it's down to which is more work, putting in the vol markers or putting in multiple iterations of the O/L track ...

that's not the official explanation, it's just how it seems to me ....

it sems thay way.... but the 1st 2 overlays are repetitions of the same loop, and the second one is spaced out also.

anyhow, I'm filling out a support request now Wink
