I'm in that loop now where I have VBR tracks and MM is endlessly scanning them.

Thing is, these are tracks that I copied from my C drive to my new external HD ("M") ... these 780 tracks, the version still in the catalog that lives on the C drive has a bitrate but the version on the M drive MM for some reason sees as VBR and won't let go of scanning it.

Why doesn't MM see the identical track on the new drive the same way it sees the original iteration of it on the C drive?

(Note, I've been using another smaller external "L" for months now, and never experienced this problem, so I'm assuming it's not just because the tracks are on an external drive...)

More importantly, how can I get this to stop? Do I have to delete the plot files for the entire catalog and let the whole thing rescan? (noooooooo, please noooooo)
