I've recently updated from MM4 to MM Studio 6 and (after much searching) still don't know the best way to update my catalog. Since I've got a lot of sprocket changes and such saved as default settings for many of the songs, I want to preserve them if possible. This is what I did:
In MM4, I made a playlist of all songs (this should preserve the default sprocket settings, right?) In MM6, I open the playlist and off it goes, recreating all the plots. When it's done, I select all in the playlist, right click, and set the song's current state as the default Presets & Tweak. Is this OK so far? This seems to work, but I've got to let it run overnite to be sure... But one thing that isn't right is the Date Added info--- because I'm being forced through this process, the Date is the same on all the songs no matter how old or new they are. I'm sure it'll work on future songs, but it's frustrating that all older ones are treated this way. Am I doing this right, or is there a better way? Thanks GB |
