mmRadio is a free service brought to you by MixMeister Technology LLC and the BeatMixing community. Our worldwide network of talented Mixmeister DJs fill five stations of non-stop mixed music with streams in both low and high bandwidth.
If you have a set which you would like aired on one of our radio stations, please first send your playlist to one of our hosts via a private message. Provide a copy of your playlist as plain text in the body of the message. You can save your playlist as a text file from within MixMeister (File menu --> Save playlist as), then copy and paste the contents into your private message.
There are five stations, send your PM to a host from the list below.

If we think your mix is suitable for broadcast we will then email you details of how to download the mmRadio mix submit tool. This is a small Windows application which will convert your chosen MixMeister playlist file (.mmp) to a single specially encoded WMA file. Once the conversion has completed it the tool will then automatically upload it to the mmRadio server.
mmRadio is run by volunteers - we try and update the schedule as often as possible and usually do so every few days. Updating the schedule is a manual process so often there may be a delay of a few days before your mix hits the internet airwaves.

All mixes are date stamped and our policy at the moment is to leave them in rotation on the schedule for one month.

Your mix must comply with the following rules:

Your mix must be 60 to 80 minutes long

The MixMeister Radio staff agrees that the best guidelines for what is and is not appropriate are the same guidelines governing US radio and television. We believe these guidelines make sense because they are commonly understood and many controversial songs have a "radio edit" that would be suitable for broadcast. So what does this mean to you? From here forward, you as the DJ are responsible for ensuring any mix you submit to MixMeister Radio adheres to the American broadcasting guidelines. For material that just uses offensive words, it is acceptable to bleep or reverse the audio so that the words are unintelligible. We understand that these guidelines leave room for interpretation.

We intend to have a discussion with DJs when a mix is questionable. When we encounter mixes that are a clear violation of the guidelines, we will work with DJs to create a new mix that is acceptable. Since it is impractical for us to screen each and every mix before it is uploaded, we must rely on the DJ to ensure that the mix follows a reasonable interpretation of the guidelines. DJs who repeatedly submits mixes that are a clear violation of the objectionable material policy run the risk of having their MixMeister Radio privileges revoked.

You must be a legitimately registered user of MixMeister 3, MixMeister 4, Pro 4, pro 5, Pro 6, Express 5, Express 6, Studio 6, Studio 7 or Fusion.

Your tracks must be labelled correctly in MixMeister - i.e. the Track Name and Artist must be complete and correct. This ensures that we are able to identify the song and artist which are required for reporting to the various music authorities and helps us keep the station legal.

Please do not post your set tracklisting or any links to copyrighted material in any Beatmixing.com forum.

Any mixes which contravene the rules of mmRadio will be removed from the schedule immediately and may result in a removal of mmRadio mix submission rights.

yep, we got a little of the old "invalid syntax" on the link that's meant to generate an email to me ... Monk will need to work some magic to sort that out.

In the meantime, as I mentioned to Steve, anyone with a mix for BeatConscious can always either email me directly @beatmixing.com or you can hit me w/ a PM here on the forum ...

MixMeister knows where to send the mix. When you have contacted the host of the station you want your mix to appear on, and they have sent you the uploader tool, the rest is automatic.

Please read the first post in this topic for complete information....

Great,
I have sent a PM to DnC. I think that is the best place to put my vocal breaks mix. I will also be putting together a Club Dance mix soon. Maybe even a hip hop mix.

Please let me know if that is not the right person to send to or if i should send to someone else.

How long does it usually take for a host to get back to you on a mix?

I would think 3 days is a long time.

D-Mixx,

It terms of time to air, that depends on the station. Jack2It currently has a a backlog of sets waiting to air because the submission rate has been quite high as of late.

HOWEVER, Jack2It wants your House sets for airing on the show!!! Get them uploaded to us and in the queue! We will review them and get them on the schedule in order of submission as well as based on determinations of all the various house styles that we try to keep balanced with our rotation. Please be aware of the submission rules for on air-content as outlined above.

We'd love to hear from you! So get Jackin!

Thanks much!

Dont know how soon i will get to it as i have had such bad luck so far getting my Mix played.

Maybe my shows are better off on some other Radio show.

Don't get "cold feet on us, D...it's a bunch of us around that want to hear your Mix. Patience is a virtue...

From reading the moderator's comments, it's literally "raining mixes" at this point in time. I'm now waiting also.

Bottom line...the new-found congestion can't be anything other than Good, and that congestion should translate into much more Ear Traffic - and much more EXPOSURE for your Mix!

Peace.
