This fresh contribution to the BeatConscious show spotlights two musical favorites of mine --

Afternoons in Stereo is a Canadian friend who, in addition to music, is also talented in the field of graphic design. Two instrumental tracks from his unreleased CD, Aural Pleasure, bookend the set, "Sunrais" and "Architexture".

The Dining Rooms, from Italy, I first found on emusic.com, several years ago ... they get better with each successive release. versioni particolari is the remix album, featuring a contribution from Soul Patrol as well as reworks by The Dining Rooms themselves.

The compilation Paris Jazz Mission also provided a number of chill tunes ... especially fine to my ears is the Norah Jones / Wax Poetic combo on "Angels".

And finally, special mention to the opener, Hird's "I Love You My Friends" which I first became aware of courtesy of the Lime Sorbet mixes that were posted online by Citrona Recordings ... a number of selectors chose this track as their opener, and I did the same.
