Here we have a bit of the brand-new for week two of the Christmas Countdown: All Lit Up, the Christmas tagteam from MadameFLY & Buster the Vanilla Gorilla (you know him on the MM forums as Seppuku.) Each year brings a few new Christmas releases, some featuring original music and more that offer remixes of Christmas standards ... for the past couple of years, the downtempo bin has been full to overflowing with Christmas remixes and while the number of standards doesn't increase, people find some pretty inventive variations to offer up. This tagteam set features remixers such as Inverse Cinematics, Rauder and Hobbs, Stuhr, King Kooba, Q-Burns Abstract Message, Cortex Cure, and the elusive Mr. E. Original tracks come from Billy Paul Williams, Jon Kennedy, Spooky Monkey, Myntee and wrapping up the set, you'll also hear The Waitresses doing that 80s favorite, Christmas Wrapping. The title of the mix is drawn from the first track, the incredibly sweet funk of Charles Brown's Merry Christmas Baby (the mNo Remix) ... May your days be merry and bright This message has been edited. Last edited by: MadameFLY, I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

the vocals on that track are amazing. definatley puts you in the x-mas mood.
any plans of putting this and any future love to be able to have this playing while my daughter makes our home look like a crime scene what with all the wrapping paper and boxes thrown everywhere. |

You are definitely in luck, sir
As noted in this thread, my plan for Xmas Programming Domination is to wind-up w/ just Christmas mixes in rotation for Sunday/Monday ... hopefully enough variety so that the rotation will last 5-6 hours before repeating ... Of course, if any of you clever BeatMasters pulled together a holiday mash-up you wanted to drop on the program, the prospects would look even brighter Remember, we'll be open late from now until Christmas to accept your submissions I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |
