My latest set on the show is unusual (for me anyway) as it contains no beats whatsoever. As you may have guessed the style of the music is ambient. I hope you all enjoy it as there are some excellent tracks on it from some of my favourite ambient artists (Ashera, John Broaddus, James Johnson and Robert Scott Thompson).

Inspired by Rook's artwork for his Deep Affair... mix I decided to create some of my own for this set. I think it fits with the theme of the music. Its from a photo I took myself and edited with Gimp.

That sky photo says blissful peace to me -- making it a perfect choice for the mix.

BTW, for a selection of photos that bring a lot of the same energy, have a look at the work of Michael Gates. If you enjoy taking such photos or even just seeing them, you will probably like his galleries....

Im glad you liked the photo MadameFLY. The site you mentioned was good. There were some realy nice photos there. I've been getting more into photography since I finaly got a decent digital camera. I think its sometimes nice to have artwork that reflects the mix.

Im glad you enjoyed the mix MadameFLY. I wasnt sure how it would go down on BeatConscious as ambient (IMO anyway) is a style of music you cant just pick up and listen to; you have to be in the mood for it.

You never know I might do another set like this in the future. I would definitely need to get some more ambient CD's first.
