Representing for 2004 are primarily tracks from the Saint Germain Pres de Cafe Vol. 5 compilation (entries from De Phazz and Slow Train among them). Also look for a finger-poppin' number from Marc Moulin's Entertainment.

From 2003, you'll hear a couple from the Switchstance Records Fantastic Freeriding Vol. 2 (Protassov and Ancient Astronauts).

These newer tracks are balanced by selections from Puddu Varano (2001), Blissom & Ashen, Aquanote and Hefner (2002) and a surprise dropped in from the Eurythmics 1985 album Be Yourself Tonight ...

Put them all together and you've got a healthy serving of funky, jazzy, bluesy vibes for your Friday night enjoyment ... an upward arc that can send you out the door in a party mood, if that's your pleasure.

Well, this may have been here for some time, but I caught most of this excellent exercise in how to bring the brainwaves wayyyy down today!

In fact I was so relaxed listening to this that I actually fell asleep briefly! (probably partly due to the fact of having little sleep all weekend due to sick children, and the I n c r e d i b l y boring spreadsheets I was supposed to have been working on).

Hypnotic, mesmerising, soul reviving, and the sequencing & mixing was (as usual) superb!

Wish I had caught this before, now must listen out for the new one - Melt!

well, given how I feel about spreadsheets, I'm going to put your drowsy moment down to that, tho I'll admit it IS the mission of BeatConscious to relax your mind

I know the Eurhythmics track gives some folks a start ... it's one of those tricky moments when you can't be sure if you'll bring ppl along with you or leave them with a WTF? feeling ... but it worked for me
