This one seemed to be a long time in the making (and clocks in at just under 65 mins, despite all that thought and effort.) What can I say --there's a ton of music out there and even a 65-track monthly subscription to emusic.com serves up a lot to listen to … the secret to finding the track that sets the tone for the rest of the mix ...

The key tracks in this set began with Frances from a new collection of tunes by The Warheads and, later, things started to jell more when I ripped the Blake Leyh track The Fall (closing theme from HBO's The Wire) which gave me a title for the mix as well …

In addition, community member Ged-I had tipped me to listen up on Christophe Goze, which I did (good stuff available on emusic.com) and so there's one from him as well. Also from emusic.com is the No Noise track Expand Your Mind, Parov Stelar's Rude Boys, and Circle of Clowns by Cornucopia.

I got the idea to use Yonderboi's take on that old tune, "I only have eyes for you" while listening to the Afternoons in Stereo Best of 2005 set that I happened to have on the Karma player … Another fresh look at an older track is Koop's Relaxin At Club F****n (Dorfmeister vs. Madrid De Los Austrias Version) an iconic downtempo track from the 2003 Alternate Takes release of the Waltz for Koop album. And from 1982, Grace Jones weighs in with Unlimited Capacity for Love.

And that's just some of the goodies in this little mix ....
