Despite all the fun I poke at Myspace (and the huge security issues it represents) I am not immune from excitement when an artist or band that I really like sends me an add request ... when I got 'em from both Sven van Hess and The Dining Rooms on the same day, I was really tickled

Well, as you may know, when you tickle a MixMeister, music comes out ... in this case, a short mix (just a smidgen over one hour) of tracks mostly by those two artists, with a few others (like Thievery Corporation, Tosca, Koom.h, Jori Hulkkonen and G-Pal)pulled in just to keep it fresh.

The set takes off with Sven's Too Many Captain Beefhearts and wraps up with Occhi neri by The Dining Rooms ... it maintains a strong supper club vibe throughout, just picking up a little energy in the middle where the house music vibe is strongest.

This work was done in v.6 of Studio ... from idea to execution in about four sessions, made even easier because all the tracks are pretty similar in feel and BPMs ....
