It seems the radio server was playin' up a little there, so this is a bit of updating for an add that actually was made on Saturday: The newly-reconstructed Spiritus FLY has been added to the show ... and a number of the regular sets removed ... as we move toward the all-Christmas line-up for the holiday...
========================== In fact, it seemed like a good idea to go ahead and add "A Child's Christmas in Wales" while the server was feeling cooperative, so you'll find that on the schedule now, too ... Yes yes, people, it's that time again ... we here at BeatConscious do wait for Thanksgiving to have its moment before we start deckin' the halls, and the time is now .... Beginning this evening, I will start re-uploading our Christmas mixes to the server, and then adding them to the playlist over the coming 3+ weeks. (To get the whole story on what we do here, have a look at some of the previous posts in this thread.) Hopefully, I can also persuade Jez to re-hang the BeatConscious Christmas lights this year.... If you have prepared (or would like to create) a mix for the BeatConscious Christmas show, send me and Moto a PM about it ... plur has contributed in the past, Holger plans to send us one this year ... the more, the merrier so don't be shy.... ![]() I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

Another week, another Christmas set added ... this time it's Instead of Snow ... And to keep us in that frosty state of mind, Jez has also added a new chilled trance session -- part two of Below Zero ... not to be missed! I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

December 15th has come and gone, we are now past the "Ten more days until Christmas" point and headed into the home stretch....
Perhaps at your house, the Christmas shopping frenzy is in full swing, as well ... so now might be the perfect time to spend 20 mins listening to the story of How the Grinch Stole Christmas or, as I call it, The Illuminated Grinchmas. I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

And for our next Christmas set in the show, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome DJ Mojito and The Real Christmas Classics in Izotope.
Holger's cooked up a real treat for our Christmas show ... an hour of sugar-plum sweets for your listening enjoyment ... ![]() I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

December 21st -- First day of winter. And one day closer to the BeatConscious 24/7 Christmas show ...
Today, we welcome back the first of two Christmas tag-team sets from Buster the Vanilla Gorilla & MmeFLY ... All Lit Up, as we say goodbye to a few more of the mixes that had been in rotation this fall ... I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

Oh we're whittlin' it down a little bit more ... before I wander off to do something suitably festive, I've trimmed out a couple more mixes from the regular schedule and replaced them with the second tag-team from Buster and me, Deckin' the Downtempo ...
This would be a good moment to pause and give my collaborators and contributors a big warm THANKS for your help in making this place festive for the Christmas holidays ... I know there is a natural hesitation about doing a Xmas mix, since most folks, especially here in the States, are inundated with seasonal tunes beginning 1 minute after Halloween ... and yet ... are we not MixMeisters? If anyone can make something fresh out of all that music, it must certainly be this crew ... so thanks again to all of you who brought something for the show and thanks to everyone who stops by to listen and to comment. I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

Adding one more item to the Christmas caroling, I've brought A Child's Christmas in Wales back into rotation ... and there's been a re-sort on the order of mixes, more in line with the ultimate 24/7 Christmas show that will be playing by the time we get to Christmas Eve ...

And now, early on the morning of Christmas Eve, with the addition of Spiritus FLY, we are just about at the final line-up for the All-Xmas show ... I have just one or two more sets to remove this evening but I do believe we'd stay true to the spirit of the moment if dani's Movements in Slow Motion were to stay on the schedule along with cjaxx's Blanket of Snow ... for lots of people in the northern USA this week, "Blanket of Snow" pretty much tells the whole story
Here's hoping you are where you need to be in order to celebrate your Christmas with the ones you love I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

And there we are, folks ... Xmas 24/7 from now thru the weekend ... in the final analysis, I decided to eliminate Movements in Slow Motion and keep Blanket of Snow as the only real outlier ... here's hoping the vibe suits your Christmas and that Christmas is good to you and yours this year ...

Hey, check the calendar ... well within the two-week run-up to Christmas and time to start building the Christmas schedule again ... Most of the standard shows from years past will be heard again, as well as whatever new contributions come in ... I've got mine just about ready to upload, but here's the official invitation to anyone else that wants to join in:
OFFICIAL INVITATION!! Can you cook up a little musical holiday spirit? Will you make it all fresh and sparkly? In that case, there's a place for your set on the BeatConscious Christmas show this year ... but time is movin' on, so put that thing together and let me know when yours is ready .... All categories are open: Downtempo, of course, but pop, R&B, ambient and even spoken word with a musical overlay ... If actual Christmas tunes don't do it for you, but you can make us feel that deep winter chill through your musical selections, that's good too (check out the cjaxx set Under a Blanket of Snow to hear what I mean ...) From this point forward, I'll be adding the seasonal sets to the show and taking down the regular sets, until we reach Christmas Eve, at which point, according to custom, we go Xmas 24/7 ... I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |
