Hi everyone,
I have just submitted my first mix and would be very interested in what everyone thinks. I've been a closet, at home DJ for over 20yrs now. Have used Mixmeister since it's creation and use version 2 almost exclusively. I have tried every other version other than Fusion and have found that version 2 still outperforms them all when it comes to beatmatching. I've downloaded the trial version of Fusion so am looking forward to seeing if it can compare considering the additional tools for problem mixes. I am posting a mix (TeaDance Series Volume 1) as well into Selectors choice so watch for it. Peace AndyCub |

Hey, for a change, I actually caught one very soon after upload ... I have to admit, my curiousity was piqued by Andycub's declaration that he uses MM v.2 for his work ...
What a sweet mix! The selecting offers downtempo/chill classics from back in the day (Tosca, Groove Armada, Enigma and Gotan Project) plus some that are simply new to me. The mixing is very persuasive ... that's my "term of art" for the sort of mixing that doesn't try to be totally seamless, but that brings you into the blend with an awareness of the transition and then gives you that little sparkly feeling when the DJ pulls it off admirably. I remember someone on the forum once saying how much more they enjoyed the transitions that had you a little bit on the edge of your seat, because the payoff was that much greater when the mix was successful ... Andycub gets into that territory with some of these blends. Don't get me wrong, there are no trainwrecks here or anything that will distress your ears ... but only a few transitions are "invisible". A fine debut for mmRadio -- and keep in mind folks -- done with MixMeister version 2! I'll definitely be looking out for the set on Selector's Choice as well ... I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |
DJ Mojito - All-round DJ![]() Location: Germany in Soest. It´s a little town with old churches, a picturesque old town, many homelike pubs, but also discos and shopping centers. Countrified ambience. It´s a good mix - I love it!

Hi Andy!
I´m a Party - DJ normally. The slow music of "beat conscious" is not really my thing. But when slow music is fine, than it´s also fine for me. And this mix is fine! Chilling sounds and fine, fine grooves. Great choice of tracks, really. Well done, man! Really good! Thank you for this excellent mix. All the best, Holger alias "DJ Mojito". |

Sorry for my late reply to the excellent feedback provided by Madame and Mojito.
My intention in a mix/transition is to ensure that each compliments and builds on the other. It's not all about seamless mixing but for me more about building the bridge from one beat to another so that the journey not only is not interrupted but you are excited about whats just around the corner. I know when I have accomplished this when I listen to it .. and I feel ...connected? Whole? Not quite sure how to explain the feeling. Anyway, thanks again for the excellent feedback. Namaste Andy |
